In February of 2021, a chance conversation led to an opportunity to harvest several White Ash trees from the Long family’s property in Madison County, Illinois. The purpose for harvesting was a reasonable one, to make room for an orchard and a vineyard. However, the underutilization of trees was unacceptable. Enjoy the natural beauty this often-overlooked hardwood has to offer.

Designer Richard Higby, approached the Caraway Collection with Scandinavian and contemporary design in mind. Each board in this collection is hand selected by Richard to ensure consistency and harmony. Construction details are based on methods used for hundreds of years – dovetail drawer boxes, glued construction, and solid wood. An exciting pop of color presents itself when interacting with the drawers. Notice the attention to the leg detail through simple, yet sophisticated details.
